Terms and Conditions — Live Cricket Scoring App

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Live Cricket Scoring mobile application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Live Cricket Scoring ("we", "our", or "us").

By downloading the app, creating an account, or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.

These Terms apply to all users, including scorers, tournament organisers, spectators accessing public scorecard links, and any other person who interacts with the Service in any capacity.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"App" means the Live Cricket Scoring mobile application available on Android and iOS
"Account" means the registered user profile you create to access the Service
"Match Data" means all ball-by-ball entries, scorecards, player statistics, team information, and match results you create or input
"Broadcast Link" means the unique URL generated by the app that allows third parties to view a live or completed scorecard
"User Content" means any data, names, information, or material you submit, upload, or create through the Service
"Spectator" means any person who accesses a Broadcast Link without a registered account
"Premium Features" means paid optional features available through a subscription or one-time purchase
"Applicable Law" means the laws of your country of residence, including but not limited to India, Pakistan, England, Australia, and other jurisdictions where the Service operates

3. Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian, and that they have reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the user is under 13 years of age.

3.2 Legal Capacity

By accepting these Terms, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of a club, school, organisation, or business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3.3 Geographic Availability

The Service is available in all jurisdictions where it is not prohibited by law. We make no representation that the Service is appropriate or available for use in every country. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

To access full features of the Service, you must register for an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password, or by signing in through Google or Apple. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your password with any third party. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.

If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify us immediately at privacy@yoursite.com. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to take reasonable steps to secure your credentials.

4.3 One Account Per User

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, restrictions, or limitations is prohibited and will result in termination of all associated accounts.

4.4 Account Suspension and Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if required to do so by law. You may appeal a suspension by contacting support@yoursite.com within 14 days.

5. Use of the Service

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial cricket scoring, match management, and live broadcast purposes, unless you have entered into a separate written commercial agreement with us.

Permitted uses include:

Scoring recreational, club, school, college, and community cricket matches
Creating teams, rosters, and tournaments for personal or club use
Sharing Broadcast Links with players, coaches, and spectators
Reviewing historical match data and player statistics

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, our servers, or any connected systems
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service using automated tools
Upload, transmit, or distribute any malware, viruses, or harmful code
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual, including by entering offensive player names or match titles
Impersonate any person, club, or organisation
Use the Service to generate or distribute spam
Circumvent any security, rate-limiting, or access-control measures we have implemented
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent
Use the Service to collect personal data of other users without their knowledge or consent

5.3 Commercial Use

Use of the Service for commercial broadcasting, professional leagues with paid admission, or any revenue-generating activity requires a separate commercial licence. Contact us at business@yoursite.com to discuss commercial arrangements.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of all User Content you create, including match data, team names, and player rosters. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.

6.2 Licence to Us

By using the Service, you grant Live Cricket Scoring a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This includes displaying your match data to spectators via Broadcast Links you share.

This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate operational reasons.

6.3 Your Responsibility for User Content

You are solely responsible for all User Content you submit. You confirm that:

You have the right to enter all player names, team names, and other information you input
Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights, including privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or personality rights
You will not enter the full real names, addresses, or sensitive personal information of minors in any field that forms part of a publicly shared Broadcast Link

6.4 Content We May Remove

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that we determine, at our sole discretion, violates these Terms, applicable law, or is otherwise harmful or offensive. We are not obligated to monitor User Content but may do so.

7. Broadcast Links and Public Scorecards

7.1 Your Control Over Broadcast Links

When you generate a Broadcast Link, you choose who to share it with. We do not distribute your Broadcast Links to third parties. You are solely responsible for deciding with whom you share a link.

7.2 Spectator Access

Spectators who access a Broadcast Link do so without a registered account. By sharing a Broadcast Link, you acknowledge that anyone with that link can view the scorecard, player names, and match data included within it.

7.3 Link Expiry

Broadcast Links remain active for 90 days after the match end date unless you delete the match or your account. After expiry, the link returns a "match not found" page.

7.4 No Guarantee of Availability

We do not guarantee that a Broadcast Link will be accessible at any specific time. Scheduled maintenance, network issues, or technical failures may temporarily prevent spectators from viewing a live scorecard. We are not liable for any loss arising from a Broadcast Link being temporarily unavailable during a match.

8. Premium Features and Payments

8.1 Free Tier

The core features of the Service — including unlimited ball-by-ball scoring, Broadcast Links, player statistics, and match history — are provided free of charge with no time limit.

8.2 Premium Subscriptions

Certain advanced features are available through paid Premium plans. Details of current Premium features and pricing are available at yoursite.com/pricing. Prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.

8.3 Billing

By purchasing a Premium plan, you authorise us to charge your selected payment method on the billing cycle you have chosen (monthly or annual). Payments are processed through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchases depending on your platform.

8.4 Cancellation

You may cancel a Premium subscription at any time through your device's app store subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a billing period unless required by applicable consumer law.

8.5 Refunds

Refund requests must be made through Google Play or the Apple App Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. We are unable to process refunds directly for in-app purchases made through these platforms.

8.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change Premium pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email and in-app notification. Continued use of the Premium Service after the new pricing takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

8.7 Free Trials

Where we offer a free trial of Premium features, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. We will remind you by email at least 3 days before the trial expires.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Live Cricket Scoring app, website, logos, trademarks, design, code, features, and all content created by us are owned by or licensed to Live Cricket Scoring and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without our prior written consent.

9.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without any obligation to you.

9.3 Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@yoursite.com with the subject line "Copyright Notice" and include a description of the work, the infringing content, your contact details, and a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised.

10. Offline Functionality and Data Sync

The app supports offline scoring. Match data entered offline is stored on your device and synced to our servers when an internet connection is restored. You acknowledge that:

Data entered offline is at risk of loss if the app is deleted, the device is lost, or a factory reset occurs before sync completes
We are not responsible for data lost due to failure to sync before deletion or device loss
Sync may be delayed in low-connectivity environments, meaning spectators viewing a Broadcast Link may not see real-time updates until connectivity is restored

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

12. Availability and Modifications

12.1 Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily affects availability. Where planned maintenance will cause significant downtime, we will endeavour to give advance notice via the app or our website.

12.2 Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including removing or changing features, with or without notice. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that significantly reduce functionality available to existing users.

12.3 Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date, send an in-app notification, and email registered users. Continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

13.1 Service Provided "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be available at all times or free from errors
Match data will be transmitted to spectators without delay or interruption
Broadcast Links will be accessible at the exact moment you need them
The app will function without bugs on every device or operating system version

13.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Live Cricket Scoring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

Loss of match data due to device failure, app deletion, or sync failure
A Broadcast Link being unavailable during a match
Errors or inaccuracies in automatically calculated statistics
Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to secure your credentials

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 500 / USD 10 (whichever is greater) if you are a free-tier user.

13.3 Jurisdiction-Specific Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. In particular, users in India, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union retain all statutory consumer rights that apply in their jurisdiction.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Live Cricket Scoring, its officers, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

Your violation of these Terms
Your User Content
Your use of the Service in a manner not authorised by these Terms
Any claim by a third party that your User Content infringes their rights

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require the application of local law.

15.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at legal@yoursite.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.

15.3 Arbitration (India)

For users in India, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a sole arbitrator. The seat of arbitration shall be [Your City], India.

15.4 Jurisdiction (Other Countries)

For users outside India, disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your City], India, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.

15.5 Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

16. Termination

16.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app, or by emailing support@yoursite.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you:

Violate any provision of these Terms
Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity using the Service
Repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others

16.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — shall survive.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance of the Service arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, internet outages, power failures, government actions, civil unrest, or any other event outside our reasonable control.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Live Cricket Scoring regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings relating to the same subject matter.
